I booked last minute for it's price and location to San Francisco State University. Exceeded my expectations. The property is immaculate. The room was spacious and the beds were so soft and cozy. Especially after 10 hours on the road from San Diego. The check-in was quick and not difficult. I think I spent less than 3 minutes with the check-in desk. There is a cute coffee shop/café just outside and to the right of the hotel. A pro, and a possible con for some, is that the end of a trolley line is literally right in front of the hotel. It can be loud but it is honestly not that bad. San Francisco has an amazing public transit system so this is definitely a plus in my honest opinion. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. HOWEVER, from Friday to Monday, every weekend, the main beach road is closed to all vehicle traffic so you will be rerouted to surface streets. GPS does not recognize this. The hotel is also next to the southwest corner of Golden Gate Park. I will for sure be staying again.

We love how close this motel is to the beach. There is a cute little coffee shop right next door for coffee and pastries in the morning or smoothies and sandwiches in the early afternoon. The SF zoo is very close and the Sutro Baths/Lands End park are within (adult) walking distance. The Muni ends right at the motel which makes getting into the city so easy. The desk clerk was amazing. On the first night we parked in a spot that wasn't 100% visible by camera so he suggested we move so he could have eyes on at all times. The second night we got back a bit late and there were no parking spots left in the lot so he created one for us!

This hotel is within a few blocks from the beach. You can take BART from the airport to another train and arrive at this hotel. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. There is a walk/bike path in between the hotel and the beach that paralels the water. You can rent bikes with the lyft app from a kiosk that is a block from the hotel. Golden gate park is a long walk or short bike ride from the hotel. You can surf or watch others surf at the beaches along this stretch of coastline. We were able to check in early and also leave our bags at the hotel on our last day before our departure.

We booked king room, asking for the top floor with ocean view which was not available and was upgraded to the double queen room with beautiful ocean view. The front desk service was excellent, let us check in 2hrs early, stay a little bit late. The room was spartan but comfortable, with a nice skylight in the bathroom. We were a little worried at first about the sound of the cable cars running right in front of the hotel but they stopped running at night, so no issues there. Great location in walk-in distance of the Golden Gate Park and lots of good, cheap (for SF) restaurants. Free parking!!!

The room was very spacious and clean. I used the parking available on site but you have to get there early to get a spot because there’s only about 10. The receptionist was kind and told me the best spots to park where the view of the camera is the best. I didn’t have any concerns on this side of town with it getting broken into. It didn’t look like they had any rooms on the ground floor. The first floor is a story up with the parking below it. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry your items upstairs.
